Nice score on the Super XL-925,my guess would be 1977 for the year.

Nice score on the Super XL-925,my guess would be 1977 for the year. I agree. I try to use the Homelite last year built listings to narrow things down. UT10415, last year built was 1981.

Most SXL925’s were built in Canada, even ones sold here in USA.

Not sure if you have already corrected this,but the chain is going the wrong direction in the pics.As you probably already know won't cut worth a $h!t that way.

I put it on outside and it was 28 degrees with 30 mile an hour winds and I was in a heavy T shirt, I couldn't feel my fingers when I put on the nuts. That explains the difficulty in turning the chain by hand. You guys always catch this stuff for my bad eyesight, lol, I'll keep posting pictures. I'm planning on a new chain, this one looks pretty worn
