This saw is the saw to end all saws, the rebuild process has taken more crazy turns than anything i've ever dealt with. Heres the situation, I finished the rebuild about a week ago, I then primed it without fuel in the tank and started it up and everything worked fine, except maybe the kill switch didnt work right away one time, i cant remember for sure. I did the priming process twice then put it away. Today I pulled it out, put fuel in it, choked it and pulled it over about 8-10 times. By this time I had fuel running out the muffler and it hadnt so much as popped. I then checked the carb settings and found I had them set too rich. I reset them dried out the cyl as best I could and tried again and got nothing. I then checked to see if I had spark with a test light grounded to the cyl and had fire to the boot. I also checked to make sure the plug was good by sticking it in my atv boot and turning it over and found it to be good. So, wuts going on her fellas, do I have a ground problem? As far as I can tell that almost has to be the problem. Any ideas as to where to start? I think I'll try leave the kill switch disconnected and seeing if it'll do anything. Any help from you guys would be appreciated immensely, Id love to finish this project so I can start another!

Symptoms have me stumped. In a case like this, about the best thing to do, if the option is available, is to take another known good saw of same type and swap components and see what the results are.

Well, the switch was the culprit. I disconnected the switch wire from the module and it fired right up. So, do I need a new switch, or is there something I can do for it? Thanks.

I answered my own question ;D pulled the switch out, gave it a good cleaning and put a new connector end on it and everything seems to be working fine now. Time to cut!!!!!
