Are you sure your bar or sprocket is not worn? Those can affect how straight it cuts too, especially a worn bar groove.

Without actually seeing the bar and chain it's hard to give you a fix. For the chain to cut straight both the right and left cutters and to have equal actions. If the bar rails are square and there is no rolled edge, then there is something wrong with the chain which is usually the case. Take the chain to a shop that has a chain sharpener and have it sharpened. That will get all the angles back to like new. I've seen many chains that have been over filed so they just didn't cut and the machine sharpening put everything back in specification.

Have you checked your Bar Rails, to make sure that your Bar is Square? How you do this is place a Small Square against the Bar, and look down your Bar, as if looking down the Barrel of a Gun. If one Rail is higher than the other, that will cause your Chain to cut one way or the Other. I use a Disc Sander to press the Rails, and remove the Burs from the Sides of my Guide Bars, at least once a Year. I've never had any troubles since Bruce.
