New on the forums and first post. I couldn't figure out what model section to post in so I thought this was a good fall back. I cannot find this part anywhere. My pullcord stopped withdrawing so I took it apart. The recoil spring was super dirty so i thought it might be smart to take it out and clean it then grease it but could not get it coiled back up. Winter went and I didn't need my saw so I forgot about it and now cannot find the spring. Can't find a replacement anywhere online. Winter is back and I have wood that is too big for my stove. Please help! I will order the whole assembly if I have to.

Hey Gill, I am not one of those special few here that can decipher the saw models from the UT# so hard to know where to point you. What model saw is this? More information = better results. For starters, the premier supplier around here is www.leonschainsawpartsandrepair.com/store/c1/Featured_Products.htmlFor a recoil spring there may be numerous models that use the same spring, so it shouldn't be too hard.

This is one of those models that they don't sell the recoil spring separately...the assembly part# 310502014 is what you need. There are some on Ebay (new & used, but the best price appears to be through the Homelite website.
