OK ...so I got this back from the repair shop about 2 months ago.....it ran when I took it in...but the fuel line was spitting gas all over...and I figured I'd take it a 'professional'.
I get it back a few weeks later and let it set for a few weeks before I went to use it.
WONT START!!!??
Pull the air filter cover...no air filter...replaced but split fuel line...and it will only fire if you splash it with gas.
So much for repair shop professionals.
Long story short...I ordered air filter..tank fuel line and in tank filter...put it all together today and this thing skips...wont idle for crap....seems like its loading up.
has a new plug....probably ought check to see that its the correct one...the 'professionals' put that in there as well.
can anybody tell me what the factory base settings for the hi/lo are?
I noticed that when I had the carb off,the intake to carb gasket is long gone...I would assume that thats creating an air leak...and thus the sporadic idle.
Its also 20*f out...probably the wrong time to try and dial it in.
This saw ran like a raped ape before the fuel line issue...now it runs like its schizo.
It blubbers terrible ...wont idle...rev it up it only clears out at high end...comes back down and stalls.
I turned the hi/lo screws a little each way...now it tachs up ...comes down..goes up...down...up ..up...stalls.This is what leads me to the air leak as one source of the problem.
I will get the intake gasket...If someone has the factory settings for mixture..that will get me a decent baseline...thats as far as my knowledge takes me at this point.
Any thoughts...am I close...what am I missing??
also...while I'm on the subject...what makes the oiler piss oil non stop..when I haven't even hit the button...and when its not even running?
