Hey OZ, How does the worm gear on the shaft and the mating pump screw inside the pump look? Are they worn? Are they engaging? In looking at an IPL it shows a washer right behind the worm gear....still there? If there is slop in the positioning of the worm gear, it won't drive the pump. Let us know! Joe

Hey Joe, exactly where is this washer you mentioned, I don' recall seeing one. Here's some photos of a pump and clutch side.

OldZip
The saw those photos are from has both the manual and automatic oiler. The port which you describe as being drilled in my photo is the output to the bar. The nipple for the rubber hose is an input.
I checked an XL1 that I have which does not have the manual oiler, just auto, and it does not have the nipple and hose, so it must use the other port you described as not drilled.
Sorry I'm too lazy to take it apart and check the oiler.
Also those photos are a few weeks old and none of the saws are any longer disassembled, but I thought both ports were open (drilled).

Hey guys, Washer is part #65064,...thrust washer(outer). It sits between the worm gear and the race-inner. Hope that helps! Joe

The manual side pumps oil, but does seem to take a long time to 'recharge' before you can get another squirt out of it, Here's the fix

OK, I'll be decent. I went and looked at my Mini and from what I see, the oil supply to the AO pump has to go through the manual pump cylinder which means if there is a worn O-ring on the manual pump piston then the AO pump could draw air instead of oil. I'd take a good look a the manual pump since you say it doesn't work that well either. I can pull my pump if it would help - there is no clutch on my saw so it wouldn't be a big deal but it's cold in the shop today.

Hold on, I might not have followed all the oil lines all the way to their origin. The line that plugs into the side of the oil pump looks like it goes to the manual oil pump but now I'm not so sure. I'd have to pull things apart to see better. Like you said, the IPLs don't show it very well either. My Super Mini IPL only lists one oil filter where the Super EZ and VI Super Mini show two! Interesting to note though, my SEZ IPL has a foot note that says: Oil line 93112-22 not used in units built before 42042785 with single oil line system. So now I'm
