Hello all;
I just picked up a 240 (traded for a weedeater). Runs well and the price was right. It is missing the oil pump - from reading the other posts on the board this may be a problem...
I need an oil pump assembly for the saw...anyone have one they would like to part with? Or suggest another saw which would have a similar one which would work?
Also, could someone take a picture of their internals and send me the location of the oil pump? I don't see where it would mount inside the carb cavity.
Thanks in advance, Steve.

If ol'Zipper can't fix you up, try LMT37 or Edge and Engine(E&E). I have heard that the oil pump parts are getting hard to find. Good luck. CSW

Thanks OldZip.
I totally lucked out and found three - from the same person. It wasn't listed; I just went a round-about way and found them. Never know what you will find until you ask, I guess.
So - when they get here I am sure I can make one good one from the three.
Since they are so rare I am sure they'll be worth about $1000 each eh!? Haha.
Steve.

I think I have a few 240's in my "special" pile of saws that I keep around just for this purpose. I don't know what shape the oilers are in, or if they are even on the saws. If I get a chance I will dig them out and see.

I found three 240's. They all have the oilers in tact on them, but I don't know if they squirt or not.

Count me in on this thread, I've got a 240 with a very finicky oiler as well. OldZip, if you ever figure these piles out let me know. I put a new diaphram in my pump and it sort of worked for awhile, kinda half a$$ though, and now i cant get anything. Of course that could be because it was fairly cold when I tried to run it last, but I also think it needs a new "impulse line" (i guess thats what you'd call it) as mine is a little crushed where it turns to connect to the oiler itself. I guess that'll be my next move, but these things do kind of suck.

yeah the last hose will be cake...i just need to do it. out of curiousity what kind of problems are you finding with your pump istelf? weather here also hasnt been favorable and it looks to get worse as we are expecting a half inch of ice within the next 24 hours.
