Does anyone know the history of the 3100 he-man saw? I couldn't believe it when this one closed at $710.00 A real jaw dropper! Although not quite a many CCs as the 8-29, this thing is no toy. I was somewhat surprised that it only had a 24"bar and .404 chain. Is it a rare model?

I've never even seen a 3100. Do you have a link to that listing, I'd sure like to look at it?

I would have liked to add the 3100 to the others I have. I believe in keeping my word. A few days before the end of the auction I talked on the phone with a few collectors that were intersted in that saw. I told them I would not bid against them and I belive in keeping my word. I just watched it go. To who I do not know.

I am trying to secure a 3100 for one of the gentlemen I made reference to earlier. He is a top notch guy and he will cherish a 3100 the way it should be. I want him to own one.

I cannot belive no one has came through admitting they bought the 3100. There has been no mention on the other sites.

Maybe they're too busy trying figure out how to get it inside the house past the you-know-who Pretty hard to say it's just a piston for an old saw you are fixing up
