Very nice, if you ever do a crappy job, there will be a lot of broken hearts all over the world.

Very nice detail work! Great job! I've got my Dad's last saw that he owned which was a red EZ Automatic. I'm between leaving it as he last used it or restoring it. Nothing special about the saw execpt it was my Dad's.

Very nice, if you ever do a crappy job, there will be a lot of broken hearts all over the world. Hah! If I do a crappy job, I'm retiring from the Homelite business! This saw had very little original paint left and a scored cylinder, so the decision to do a full restore was easy to make.

Looks great! I've always liked the look of the stainless screen on the recoil instead of just louvers. I've been told the points type had the screen and the module type had louvers only. Anyone know for sure?

Anyone know for sure? Not true. When Homelite started to cut corners and cheapen up the SEZ, they did so starting in 1981, first with the starter cover then the top cover. But they switched to the solid state blue coil a few years before this.

Looks great!!, so I must ask the masters at restoration, how many hours are in a project of this quality? Sounds like it will run as good as it looks with new engine parts. I love my super ez, bought new in 1982 and only needed new fuel and oil lines recently. Outfitted with the last 12 inch bars the local dealer had in stock, was used as a limbing saw in the tree. Keep the passion alive Leon, you are good at it. Jeff K.

Damn Leon! Those are really nice bar nuts!!! :{) (If you ever do poor work I will faint dead away.) How about some more pictures of that XL-500? That one had nice nuts too. I love your stool, it keeps changing with every job you do. If that stool could talk...

Yeah, as saw with nice nuts is a must! That stool has been in my shop for about 15 years now, so it does have some history.

Great saw, great job. Don't touch that stoll, it's gaining caricature with every restoration. I'm sure many of us would love to hear what it would have to say. Please keep the rest of us abreast of what is next. Try some of the fishing and camping you mentioned. Jeff
