Anyone have an idea what a good conddiotn 750 wth 28" bar would go for right about now?
Current affairs find me wanting to part with some nice rather scarce items to help fund purchase of soon to be Banned Milsurp rifles.

Ya probably saw the one last night on fleabay with the broke handle. I think it went for under $300. Looked pretty good other than the fron handle was broken. A little while back one went for over $500. That one looked pretty good, but not great.

The market is all over the place. It has been down but lately some things have been going a lot higher than I would have expected. It is a total crapshoot.

I bought the broken handle one. I have been waiting and watching..... impulse buy for sure. In regards to value I paid $100 for a 750 in a box bad piston and rings. very very clean and unused looking. The broken pile was supposed to have good compression and run. HAHAHAHAHA..... I told the Wife it would go for about $240ish and like a gambling problem I paid $281 thinking I would finally have a piston and rings for the Good one. hahahahaha I hate it when she is right. RBW I am curious to hear what it would take to get a good running saw.......... I have 6 post' down and 494 to go. MIke the new guy

Heres mine. It has a 26" bar and the upside down dog mod that Randy Mac is so fond of. Strong runner and in good shape. I would take $500 +Shipping for a forum member.

A good deal - If I wanted one, I'd be all over it - redsqwrl, snap this one up & resell all that other 'stuff' on ebay, at least you'll have a runner -

RBW I think I need/want a phone number. I can tell my wife I found a piston.... she does not need to know the rest of the saw is connected to it.
Are you any where near Wellsboro?

Mike,
I see you are in East Central WI. Where exactly are you ? I may only be a few hundred miles from you. As for RBW saw that is a good deal. All the 750's I have here would be $500 in that condition. Let me know I might buy the other 2 from you and soften the blow in regards to your wife.

I am just west of Green Bay Home of the packers.
750's plural. I am jealous.
as far as the wife, I most likely will sell a c-5 or7 she will see a red saw leaving and 750 and c-7 kind of sound the same. ;D I am still in love with this project but after fishing season I get bored quick. Have any parts??? hint hint.

I have a friend (who owns several 'working' 750s) that bought THREE NOS 750 powerheads (with tags, but no boxes) from an old dealer for $300 each a few years ago. I go weak-knee'd when ever I see them...
NO he won't ever sell them (and his boy gets them when he moves upstairs). He uses 750s (and 1050s, and 2100s, and...) for cutting BIG coastal Eucalyptous trees. He'd trade one for an NOS XP2000 or XP2100 though, but that's IT!!!

................. He'd trade one for an NOS XP2000 or XP2100 though, but that's IT!!! I would not make that trade. The 750 is nice but a NOS 2100 is better. That is just in theory as I do not have a NOS 2100 just lots of used ones ;D Bill
