I have XEL 12 11 AMP (AKA Two-hunert horse), Serial ABO100195 Purchased unit for $1.00 at a Thrift store with sticker that said, "Needs Work". The "clutch" was slipping on it I discovered and I tightened the 7/16" nut on the slip clutch washer and it worked PERFECT. The saw had a PERFECTLY sharp, never sharpened chain on it, it had NOT A SINGLE scratch on the bar. It was never used, period. It's a 30+ year old like new electric saw. I trimmed a HUGE maple tree with it after duct taping a heavy extension cord to my 38' bucket truck. This saw is a beast. My problem: After trimming the huge maple, cutting tons of 6x6 posts off while building a barn, and using for general use when too lazy to fuel up a gas saw, this thing started slipping. I found that the really thick friction washer on the clutch cracked/broke/chunk missing. So now it's sitting doing nothing.
Do you guys know where/if I can order that part, or two to have a spare? It's been a year+ since this happened, I just discovered this website. I may try to stack washers or something but I think that I already tried that, can't remember. ANY PART NUMBERS ARE APPRECIATED! I'll post pics if I can figure out how.
