I posted a while ago about getting some starter dogs for a 1964 Homelite C7. Well, I got them off ebay a while ago. I installed them during the summer and once I knew they worked, I did some mild porting, bought a clutch and chain for the ol' girl and fired her up.
I came across a cool, cheap little video camera to take some videos of the saw cutting some cookies in some very soft european white poplar. Once youtube is done processing the vids, I'll post the link.
Here are some pictures of the saw.

Here's a video of me cutting a few cookies in some punky white poplar. I had to reset the log due to the tremendous torque. The saw is running an 8 tooth sprocket with round ground chain. I did some mild porting as well. I think I can switch to square ground and go up to a 9 pin in wood this soft. www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLddM8Al17A

I'd like to restore the paint on the saw to the original condition and also re-do the decals.
Does anyone know what paint will match this color?
How do I go about restoring the decals?

Hi RMihalek! Pull the air cover off the C7 and look at the bottom side....it has not been changed by sunlight, so, it should be close to the right color. Take the lid to a Napa Auto Parts store and they should be able to come close to matching the paint for you. As far as the decals.....go to my section here on the forum, Sugar Creek Supply, and look under the C Series decals...there you will find a full set of C7 decals just waiting for you! Talk to you soon! Joe
