Another beauty!!! I wish I lived nearby so I could see your collection in person. I'm sure you have lots of other cool stuff that isn't quite photo worthy (yet).

Thanks guys! The bar is 60", so the odds of me ever finding something that big to cut are rather slim. The next project will be much smaller...either an EZ Automatic or a XL-923.

Please, this is not criticism, I love the saw as it is. The bar could be buffed with a Scotch Brite flap wheel and it would look as good as the saw. A little clear coat would keep it that way (at least till you found a tree big enough to scuff it off.) A 60" bar, that is great on that saw! It is very inspiring to see your stuff, thanks for sharing.

You are absolutely right Dan, the bar would clean up pretty easily. My problem is I can't decide what to do with it. I've toyed with buying a Tournament of Kings or Homelite "stars" bar stencil for it or like you suggested, just cleaning it up and clear coating it. I really don't know which way to go with this one!

Well, if you are looking for help deciding, I think clear coating would be fine and easy. If I was comfortable (which I personally am not) that I could put on a stencil, I would go with the Homelite "stars", or however I could get the biggest "Homelite" possible on there. I have only stenciled 1 bar, its bad on one side and fair on the other, workmanship not worthy of your restoration. I have confidence you will do better.
It is great fun to see your work, it is always fascinating to watch someone who knows what they are doing. :{)

You might be giving me too much credit, but thank you! I have a star stencil on hand, so I may go ahead and use it.
