Got a 24" bar with a Super EZ mount. Wishful thinking I'd say.

That's strange how they changed the prefix to a PS, the Power-Tip bars were always prefixed with a PT-

That's sure some different looking chain. Have you ever cut with it? I have a 190 also, but its missing the knob for the sharpener.

Ohhh, so it's like the Oregon Powersharp bar and chain. Interesting.

I've never cut with it...when I got that saw, it was the only 190 I'd ever seen and being so clean, I didn't want to risk messing it up! McCulloch used the chain on their auto-sharps in the late 70's also. It seemed to fall out of use until the last 10 years when Oregon brought it back on the consumer saws.

That mount was also used on the XL-101 to XL-123 series of saws. The 24" would be for one of those. Nice bars!

Yeah, nice bars there Clasec. As much as I love the Super EZ, a 24" bar is WAY WAY too much, especially a hard nose. I've got a SEZ beater with a 20" and even that's a stretch.

Thanks. I was thinking full wrap, removing the base gasket, port it and octane booster. Oh well at least I wouldn't have to bend over as far cutting limbs off the trunk. Charles.

Hey Charles, you gotta point there, nice long bars do make for easy/easier limbing.

I just found this thread and have this to offer. The 24" bar with a 101 to 123 series was used mainly on the 123. It could handle the 24" very well. It was supposed to be the lightest and most power for its size at the time. My husband thought it the best saw and we sold several. However, I very seldom see them as a collectors item. I have several of these 24" bars left in my inventory. chainsawlady
