it was 85 degrees here in s.e. michigan this afternoon. we were clearing 400 yards prox of brush with 6 guys. but please tell me why these saws-not all homies-get hot and then won't start(my old girlfriend had the same problem)? i took the presure off the fuel cap on all-but we had a hard time getting them to fire-3 out of 4.they'll start well-as did my old girlfriend--when they are cold. is there any secret to doing this? is vapor lock something that you have to deal with-even though you take the pressure off the gas lid?? if there is a secret please lemmeno. thanks-the boss.

Boss, if the saws start fine when cold but won't restart when hot, a common diagnosis is coil going bad, or sometimes only bad spark plug or plug wire. Heat increases resistance or something. My Stihl 025 did this - I'm waiting on a replacement coil, hoping that fixes it.
My Homelite is like my Irish GF, won't quit when hot, I have to work her until one of us runs out of gas.
