Was going through a few boxes of stuff last night and happended along a couple of Walbros for my 650s and 750s that are "in the works". I decided to see just how much bigger the 750s WB-9 was compared to the wimpy little 650s WB-2. What I saw was a surprize. The WB-2 has a larger venturi than the WB-9! I'll try to get some pics up later today, but I swear, the WB-2 was significantly larger. Now the brain starts thinking, first of all, why . Next thought is hmmmm, how would a 750 run with a WB-2 carb on it? Anybody out there ever look at these 2 carbs before side by side? Dan

OK, I looked again and I wasn't dreaming. Here's pics of each carb. The 650's WB-2 is first follwed byt the 750's WB-9. Not only is the 650's venturi noticeably larger, but the jet size (I assume the number stamped inside indicates the jet size) is 60 on the WB-2 and 52 for the WB-9. Another thing notable is the WB-9 has two openings in the lower body on the choke side wheras the WB-2 only has one.
So can it be that a 650's WB-2 will pump more air and gas than a 750's WB-9? Dan
