My dad gave me his beloved Homie 330. OK, I lied, he ain't like us, it has been sitting on a shelf for years and his give-a-damn is busted. He was glad to see it go. Last evening I finally dumped some fuel in her and and yanked for a while but no love yet. I went a looked this afternoon and she had two wet spots under her. See the dirty picture. I know that they are both fuel and that I will probably be replacing the intake boot, but maybe not. Common occurance of fuel line leakosis? Easy fix? Or what? Much love, Larry

Yeah, it's a pretty cool bar cover. I found a cool hat the other day: Now, to fix your EX-girlfriend / my saw, I'm probably going to need some fuel line. Anything special? Size? Flavor? I haven't looked inside this thang yet so I have no idea what is going on and what the most difficult way to go about it is. Any tricks or things that I POSITIVELY SHOULD NOT DO UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES? Help me out or I swear that I WILL tell you the most painful way to do it step by step WITH PICTURES and that it wasn't the problem after all...

So what is the deal with the fuel line in a 330? Do I need to buy a special preformed NOS deal or will plain line off of a roll work?
Thanks!

I don't think that saw requires a premolded fuel line, but I haven't been into mine in a while. On most of my saws I use clear thin wall tubing. When feeding the tubing through the side of a tank, somtimes I have to taper the fuel line with a razor blade, to start it. On some saws that require a molded line, I've heard of people bushing the smaller line with a larger line over it at the tank wall. Hope this helps. CSW

CSW is right. 330s don't use special molded fuel line. Any good quality line like Tygon or others should do the trick.

Man O Man am I late getting to this party!
I use Tygon fuel line for saws with good results. Many of the remaining Homie lines will be 20yrs old when you install them, with some not worth even considering.
Check out the 330 boot thread before beginning, it can save you many a bad word, and since you have to dismantle the whole thing anyway, replace all the lines with new.
That and a new boot will get you another 20yrs of occasional use.

Yeah, I have kinda looked at it. I should have time for this in a couple of weeks.
So who is the source of the intake boots / what is the part number?
Thanks!
