Hello new here I have a xl-903 do any of y'all know if a piston from any of the other xl series saws will work on the 903 I know most of them are the 2 1/16 bore didn't know if a thick ring 925 would work?

I don;t know if the piston will work, but I do know that there are other factors beside bore and ring width. If the pin is in a different location/height, compression and head clearance would be affected. Different diameter means the rod won't fit. Another would be skirt shape which could change port relationships or crank clearance. There are very likely other things too.
Hang in there, someone here is likely to know the answer. Dan

All of the 900 series saws used the same length connecting rod and bearing size, so yes a proper diameter piston from another model will work.

Ok great I was hoping they would because the only 903 piston I could find is 125$ so as long as I use a 2 1/16 diameter piston from a 900 series saw I'll be good.
