Really Pretty! But I think you need a better display table, like maybe a lexan plexiglass case, wall mounted in my living room. Lol.
It really is beautiful!

Memorial Day - 27 May 2013 - 0100 Hrs CDT
I just want you to know that looking at the photos of your saw caused my keyboard to short out... from all the drooling that dribbled on it.
That is an impressive restoration, a beautiful saw and a monument to your skills.
I hope your 9-26 never has to cut another piece of wood. It deserves to retire to a place of honor; a bullet and burglar proof display case in the middle of your den is my suggestion.
Do you do restorations for others? I have been rounding up parts and donor saws for my little XL2 Auto, the first chainsaw I ever operated and owned. It has been a great saw but after much rough use it needs restoration. Any suggestions on how I can make my little XL2 look as nice as your 9-26 would be more than welcome.

That is truely an AWSOME job!!! If you entered that saw into any kind of restoration competition it would end up the only entry as the other's would be pale in comparison and just withdraw! I think if you even entered it in a car show copetiton it would come out the winner! I have been to a lot of car show and not seen a car done up as well as your saw! It would be great for you to share some of the steps you followed to get it looking so good. I am sure you have some gifts and tallents for this a lot of us don't Well that I don't anyway. LOL If you documented your steps with before and after photos and text outlining and describing your techniques. You should publish a book on disc. I would definately buy a copy, well maybe even more than one to give to friends!! If I finished restoring a chainsaw and it looked half as good as this one I would be happy. You have set the bar pretty high. Don't see how any one could do a better job. Hope you keep up the awsome work and put me on the list for that book disc. Great job!!! Tom

Babe's cousin Chuck Bunyan Thank you so much for the kind words and yes I have restored them for other People . But it takes the fun out of it not knowing if they will be happy . And it real hard when you have a deadline to keep I have 2 saws Im working on and they need to be done by July 15 .If I wear you I would get your saw powder coate it .It is very tough stuff and you can still use your saw . I restore saws for myself because I enjoy seeing the saws look like new again . I know anyone here can do as good of a job as me if they spent as much time as I do on a saw . If Im not happy with a part I redo it lol . Once again thanks everyone the positive comments make it worth all the time it takes thanks Joe
