Greetings everybody, I've been playing around in the garage today on a couple of my saws. When I took the super 2 out to my "wood pile " I let it warm up some and when I started cutting I had sparks at the nose of the bar. I got this saw at a garage sale. It doesn't have the roller nose like my other one. It looks to me like the very end has lost some temper and might be a little wider than the rest of the bar. When I took the bar off I noticed it was heavily caked with debris so I cleaned it all out and cleaned out the area's where the oil comes through. Now the questions: How do you know when the bar is no good anymore? Is the temper lost a concern? How about it being a little wider where the chain "rail" sits. I put it in my vice and squeezed it tighter but this is all new education for me. TIA for any responses. KW
