Just about to sharpen my uncles 1/2 chain for his homelite super wiz 66. It is a oregon chain it has a 10 stamped on the drive link and a 40 stamped on the raker side of the cutting link. From what i can tell it appears to be a semi chisel and is .065 guage. I have a professional chainsaw sharpener from northern tools just wondering if anyone knows what angles this chain was cut at from the factory? Figured i would as first. Any help is appreciated. -Tim

Tom that helps a ton should get me going on the right track. I like the depth guage explanation also. I always just eye balled it but my buddy just gave me some guages so looks like i will give them a try. I will let you boys know how it goes.
