My C-52 has a 24" bar and takes 404 pitch 050 gauge chain. Where do you guys find chain t o fit these saws?

I have some Oregon 50CP chain that would work. Also, I would think you could get a different bar that uses .063 or .058 chain.

Are you interested in selling the Oregon 50CP chain?
I was thinking that it may be best to look for a B&C. I woudl like a loop to go with the original bar though.
What mount do these saws take? Where is the best place to find a B&C for it? If I stay with 404 chain that means I don't need a sprocket right?

If you have the original Homelite bar, it should be a .063 not .050. The Oregon number was 52. I do have some Oregon #27 chain which was .404 - .063. and a very good chain. chainsawlady

I checked the chain and bar.
The chain is made by Oregon. It has "50" stamped on the drivers. I measured it with a digital caliper. It is 0.050 gauge, 0.404 pitch.
The bar is a Homelite and has two lines printed on it. The top line says, "069 Homelite". The bottom line says, "GW-2224-50".
