Rebuilt the engine and got the Harvester going. Here's a short video of the very first test on a tree. Still needs some minor adjustments and maybe new bearings for the part which goes in and out. It's binding up in certain positions. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9R1kNEmt_C0

Very cool. I had never heard of one until you posted. Glad you revived it.

A couple of more tools added. An XL-100G-1A Grinder. Basically the same as the XL-100 without the surface guide and a grinding wheel instead of a blade but it was manufactured as a separate tool. It's not in good condition but has been the only one I've ever seen come up for sale so far. I'll be keeping an eye out for a better example. And a cutoff saw attachment

Anyone interested in buying an XL120 Circular saw? My dad has one. We cleaned it up and got it running. Not too sure about the value. I'm probably going to post it on EBay.

Check the IPL for both units to see if the part numbers are the same. I am willing to bet they will interchange. Ask chainsawlady and onlyhomelites.

[/quote\ The Homelite IPL for the XL-100 circular saw lists two different ignitions exactly the same as for the very early XL-12 chain saws. The two companies are Wico and Phelon. You can get the correct company on the rotor. I do have some parts for both, but will have to know which company is on your saw. Then I can check my inventory to see what I can come up with. chainsawlady

Good day. Am new to this site. Have a 944 since about 1980. Love that saw. it scares my freinds. just got another little saw but I don't know anything about it other than it has been badly abused. here are the numbers on it. Homelite-terry. textron. UT 50132. T79 01997. can someone tell me the info on this machine. it still runs so I will give it some love.

Added a winch attachment to the XL-12 tool collection. It's the Lewis winch but it came in Homelite blue to be sold by Homelite. It's a bit harder to find these but didn't want to just add an average orange one to the collection. Pretty sure I got them all unless someone knows of another tool. Unfortunately adding pics here is a PITA and photobucket has hijacked everyone's account, but you can view pics here. myoldmachine.com/topic/429-homelite-xl-tool-collection/page/2/

There is a very nice XL grinder on Craigslist Minneapolis. The seller wants $1000 for it. It's been on there awhile, maybe he would deal?

He dropped the price on that Mpls grinder, to $999. Big deal, eh?
