I was warned about getting the carb off of a 770 G on a recent project.
Procedure was buy a thin stubby wrench, heat and bend it to be able to rotate the nut with out damaging the throttle rod and govenor.
I found it way easier to take the three screws out of the Reed or reed cage assembly and slip the whole carb off the motor then have no issue what so ever in regards to seperating the carb.
Need a picture shout and I will post one. or three.
