I have checked into this a little too. It doesn't make sense for me to buy the scanner, it's just too big of an investment for little to no return. However, there are companies out there that will scan and convert microfiche cards at less than a penny per image. I am going to send in a sample to them and see what I get back. I too have a bunch of microfiche but It probably wouldn't pay to convert it all since some, if not most of it is available online already.

Ariens, has saws, AYP, Bolens, has saws, B&S, Clinton, has saws, engines, outboards, Echo, General Power, Gilson, Hoffco, has saws, Homelite, John Deere outdoor power, has saws, Jonsered, Kawasaki Engines, Lawnboy, MTD, McCulloch, Murray, Noma-Roper, has saws, Onan, Poulan, has saws, Ryobi, Snapper, has saws, Sears catalog store fiche, has saws, Stihl, Tecumseh, White outdoor, Wisconsin Engines, Yardman, and a few mor. Most all of these have IPLs and complete service manual sets in them. The are all in like new condition. Many I bought new. Yes a lot of the info is available on the net and I would not scan that stuff. I still use them and have 2 readers set up and 3 more in storage, also have two 3M 800 reader printers, but they use thermo photographic paper and make poor copies. Still thinking about experimenting with the camera and reader idea. May have the most potential and least cost. If it, works i may just make a dedicated reader with a camera attached. PDFs are so much more user friendly and easy to share. Having access to the stuff I have on Fiche is nice, all those IPLs and service manuals but can't print off a copy or share.
