Question? My homelite super ez won't stay running. It will fire but won't catch and run. I have put a new plug in, readjusted throttle screws to factory specs (1 & 1/4 turns out), blown out the fuel line.
Any suggestions? it feels like fuel isn't getting into carb, but I'm thinking the spark is off, how do you adjust points on these??
Any help appreciated.

Any help appreciated. bearcub if my memory is correct and if the super ez is the same as a super xlao the point gap should be .015 with a feeler gauge make sure the points are all the way open when checking the gap make sure they are not burned on the end of the points if they are burnt then try some emory cloth fine and see if you can clean the end of them points and reinstall and try again if still no change then maybe its time to change out the pts and condenser now the condenser can be bad and if it is bad it wont fire at all what you need to do is do a 10 point inspection check fuel filter check air filter check compression and so on make sure everything is checking out ok if you find something that dont seem right right it down on paper and go back to that after doing the inspection those super ez have two different types of ignition systems one is the phelon and the other a wico depending on which system you have it would be different parts needed for each system but do that 10 point inspection to see if we can pinpoint the problem then we can work on the solution but first make sure they are set at about .015 - .020 on the gap but lean more to .015 its best to have it close than far apart calvin
