I thought I would start a new thread as I have some questions about the ignition system of my XL1, which I believe is similar to the SEZ. You may recall my original thread about some saws.

While I was looking at the SEZ IPL, I noticed a few things that didn't make sense.
Here are some sections of the IPL for the SEZ I am referring to, as well as photos of the breaker point area and flywheel of the saw in question.
The saw came without a coil/core, so I have not seen what it should look like and am trying to determine the correct coil/core needed.
I originally thought that the item#60 coil/core is what I need since the shape of the breaker points housing box and the cover
associated with item #60 coil/core looks the same as what I have. However the condensor as well as the way the breaker point cover appears to snap on (instead of fasten with a screw) for the parts associated with the other coil/core (items 71 and 70) looks the same as I have.
To make matters even more confusing, I noticed in the IPL for the item #60 coil and core there is a (W). According to a note further down the IPL page, this (W) refers to "WICO" parts. This note also indicates that "Complete magneto must be (W) "Wico" or (P) 'Phelon". Phelon and Wico parts are not individually interchangeable." Yet when I look at my flywheel, it is a "Phelon" part. This would put two different types (Wico-points vs. Phelon-flywheel) together which may not be suitable?
I am wondering if perhaps the other coil/core (items 71 and70) which are designated with a (P) is what I am missing instead of coil/core item 60.
To further complicate matters, both the cover for the points as well as the flywheel on the saw are stamped with "REPCO" (This may be irrelevant)
Does anyone have thoughts on what coil/core is correct for my saw? (item70 and 71 or item60)
Would anyone be able to check their XL1 or SEZ saws to see what manufacturer is on the flywheel, coil/core, and points. Actual photos of these would be preferred if you are able .
Hopefully I haven't caused too much confusion.
Thanks guys
