Well I bought a super 1050 here last week. Being it is a 100cc engine I knew it had to have some size to it. Well I haven't received mine yet, but the Homelite shop had one here the other day and showed me what to expect.....WOW!! Those babys were on heck of a beast. Can't wait to get mine dropped at the house here so I can get her fired up. My question is rooted in the bars for these beasts. Can anyone tell me if my bars from SXL925 will fit this monster. I see that the adjuster hole for the 1050 was an oval as opposed to the rectangle on the 925 bars. It also looks like the oiler hole may sit slightly higher but not sure if it may still line up. Has anyone had experience with these 2 style that can help me out?

I may be wrong, but the bar pattern should be the same as the C series saws. They are the more "blunt" bars.

The XL mount bars have the same slot width, and the adjuster can usualy be made to fit. The problem lies in the tail profile and oiler slot issues. The tail profile on XL mount bars is narrower than on the C/XP big mount bars. Guys that have ran XL bars on their big Homelite mount saws have had problems with the chain eating the bar plates and/or the clutch cover or drivecase. The oiler slot on these saws is often partialy uncovered by the tail of XL bars, meaning that much of the oil just dumps out without getting where it needs to. I don't run XL bars on my big Homelites...
