I'm putting a pair of sxls together for my son. I have everything except bucking spikes and the one's I seen on ebay are outrageous.
I understand XL12s are the same part.
Thank you,
John

Can you make your own spikes if you have a set to use for a pattern? Just get some plate steel, mark and drill mounting holes and cut out with a plasma cutter, shape with an angle grinder.

well some strange thing here poulan and homelite have the same number 59043 unless that is a Homelite bump spike i found in the box instead of the poulan but poulan does have a 59043 part number but no description but anyway i have them in stock list for $ 5.95 i however can ship it out if you still need the spike

resurecting an older thread............. these the spikes that help hold bar into tree? do you still have? as an idea for the poulan numbers? from what I have been learning some poulans were based on the homelite XL. look at the Poulan 361 check it out on the acres site... maybe this is what your numbers are for? www.acresinternet.com/cscc.nsf/ed1d619968136da688256af40002b8f7/1d9ecd100528a36f88256b35001d2dcd?OpenDocumentI found a 361 on puter cheap & bought it hopefully will come in soon. I want to see first hand how similar these were to the homelite. but I still need spikes on a couple supers or xl12s I can do some measuring if you need me to? Thanks, Randy

I make my own spikes, a piece of paper for a template [easy to alter for a pattern] trace it out on some stainless steel, cut out on bandsaw & drill two holes. Yes, it takes some time, but, with a shop full of tools, why not use 'em?
