hi all, i have a 550 w/24" bar i bought with advice from rbw... it's been a great saw, so far I've cut about 8 cords with it. Today it just wouldn't start. Never had any trouble before. I checked that it has gas, and cleaned the spark plug, checked the air filter. all is ok. It just won't start! any ideas?

Hi Jeff! Saw you peeking in earlier today but I just got in from plowing.$$$ ;D Both my 450 and 550 require 10 pulls sometimes to get them running and I have no idea why. Once their going they run like tops and restart fine. The ignition in my 450 is going, but it only affects it when it gets hot after about an hour of running in the summer. Pull your plug and check it, it may be bad or fouled. Jeff, you gave me a good idea for a new thread in the trouble shoting section. I may even make a video for claritys sake.

I like the sounds of a trouble shooting video! (slow learner here) Ahh, the joys of plowing. Thankfully I have just a few driveways this year, though my own is 1/4 mile long and uphill.... I'll get the plug out tommorrow.. THanks jeff
