when you say gas tank gasket did you split the tank ?

There isn't a gasket. The tanks were just sealed and screwed. You will have to split the tank, lots of little screws, clean the old sealer off without damaging the surfaces, put a good bead of Permatex gasket eliminator on it a screw it back together. Are you sure it is the seam that is leaking

i was going to say i can save him a headache and sell him a used tank cause the xl12 and super xl ao are the same tanks
$ 12.00 for a used tank

The XL-12 and SXLAO are not the same complete tank. Look were the oil fill is on the XL-12 Craig

hey it's boozy i jumped the gun looking for a gasket for the split gas tank, i seen it leaking at the seam and thought there was a gasket.till i split it, i will reseal. thanks guy/girls.
