Bar conversions are near impossible because of the oil hole port and the bolt hole pattern but last summer I picked up a Super XL at a farm auction that had a S#@&% bar on it. Now it didn't fit well. They had just bolted that bar with 12.5mm channel onto the SXL with the 9.5mm channel. Talk about sloppy That bar came off and has been hanging in the shop. I fixed up a XL903 and needed a bar. The S bar is a sprocket tip and 20" long. Hummmmmm The 903 has 5/16" studs so that bar was really sloppy on the 903. So here is the fix: Nothing fancy but it works The oil port is very close but I did have to use a chain file and elongate the adjustment hole a little so the pin would fit into it. Long as I was at it, I made a second one and drilled 3/8" holes in it.
