I found your website about a month ago and think it is awesome, and full of great info as I am also a homelite fan. My question is that I purchased an xp1130 recently and on the serial number tag there is an SU in front of the serial number. Does this mean that it is a Super xp? I plan to restore this saw and use it and would like to know. Maybe get some decals made for it. Thanks

Hi, and welcome to HoH The "Super" attached to the XP line has been discussed but I don't know if any conclusion was ever drawn. The cylinders have different part numbers but who knows what may have changed. Maybe the porting is different The XP1130 lists a HL series carburetor where the Super XP1130 lists a SDC carburetor. Is your carburetor a square box (SDC) carburetor or is it one with a round bottom (HL)

My carb is the round bottom HL197. Its hard to say what model they are when there this old, because so many parts could have been switched on them by now. I know my recoil looks like a C series, and the only ID the saw has is the serial number plate.

No I bought this saw in the first week of october. I seen the saw you are talking about on epay, but I can't believe it went for 300.00 when the ad said they could'nt even pull the saw over to check the compression. That saw still had the decals on it, my saw has no decals. I think that was a pick up only, and being a Michigan boy that would be a little hard to get to New York to get it. I would have to say it would have cleaned up nice.

There was just one on there recently that I already won once!!!! He decided he must have sold it to cheap immediately after it sold then lied to me to cancel the auction and listed it a few months later

I have price lists on parts since 1955. The 1976 had the best list of older parts. I use it to find the price at that time. Then go forward or backward to find the last year Homelite had them listed. I could make a copy of the 1976 list if you want them. chainsawlady
