Dear RBW or any other Homelite Guru,
I have two super ez's that were made in 1974 in Port Chester. They are red & black colored lacking the white accent stripe on the sprocket cover that early 1970's ez models had. They have no numeric ut numbers. Instead the ut line says: "Super EZ".
Does anyone know what numeric ut corresponds to Super EZ for saws made in New York? I would like to look at an IPL that corresponds to this version of the Super EZ.
Thanks in Advance for any info you can provide.
Sincerely,
Fred Clemmer

Hi Fred, good to hear from you!
I have both the Pre UT IPL and the ut IPL here, is there something specific your looking for?
Im not sure the Numerical UT will jibe with the one from the pre UT days. Both saws are basically the same, but they do use different cylinders, for different case designs which are defined by the serial #. Thats just off the top of my head, but it gives you an idea how much difference there can be in a very similar design between production years.
Is there something specific you would like me to look up?

Thanks for the reply RBW. I did not know anything about pre (numeric) ut saws as I had never seen any ipls for them . Live & learn! No I really don't need any parts for these saws. I do need a solid state ignition module & core for a 1986 SEZ (ut -10505-b,Ser # 9H2200088) Part # A94111. Would you happen to have or know where there is a good one? So far, I have resisted the urge to Call Randy Duncan for this part, tho I know that he has many available. I guess that I am too cheap for my own good! I really enjoy your board. Thanks again for your efforts. Regards. Fred
