Rebuilt the carburetor yesterday pressure test to 6 lbs leak down very very slow, so i went with it. Starts with the trigger lock on (compression release open) revs up than down up and down when i pull the trigger it dies. Gone over everything, new fuel filter and line ,flushed tank ,new spark plug.

Will it slow idle good for long period of time? (without the chain running)

It runs up and down than i release the trigger lock and it dies.

It runs up and down than i release the trigger lock and it dies. Appears it will not idle. We assume you have adjusted the carb idle adjust JET to 1 1/2 -2 turns out and the fast idle carb screw is set in for fast low idle. Also set the H jet out 1 1/2 turns If so to the carb settings you need to do a vac/pressure test. If that is ok try subbing a know good carb or another carb. |
