I picked this up at a pawn shop. It seems a little loud. Is this the stock muffler?

I'm thinking that bar is about 24" and for that saw to pull the chain it certainly would need a little help in engine power. Do you suppose the guy who had it was a Harley rider and borrowed some parts from a cycle ;D Is it running 3/8 chain

Ok Ok Im caught at trying to pull a fast one. The pipe was an honest experiment, I figured Id try it on my smallest saw. The bar is there for looks- Its now on my c-51 wittling up a blown down 100 year cottonwood. It doesnt make as much power as stock-I think intake and carb are too small to let in enough air. It does run but I had to lean it way down. Any ideas?

LMAO.....My opinion is the backpressure of the bigger muffler is causing the saw not to draw enough air, thus needing less fuel to run. I'm not sure if you could modify that 150 enough to take advantage of that scavenger pipe. Possibly port, polish and bigger carb ? But you still have the problem of not enough air getting through the reed valves.

150s dont have reeds, that was another reason I picked the little saw.
