I need to replace the coil wire on a few saws and checked on eBay, pay a fortune for a small piece of wire, and wait around for a weak for shipping. Walked in to the local Stihl dealer, showed him the wire I need and no dice. Stoped by Napa on my way home and same story. this wire shouldn’t be this tuff to find? part number for my XL76 is 65205. Stranded copper wire core, 5mm. where does everyone get this stuff? thanks, Greg

I build my own wires. I bought cloth covered wire and the spade terminals all off Ebay.

The link xl130 sent is for 7mm wire but Amazon has suppliers of 5mm wire as well .

Yup that’s true! XL76 and other similar models use 7mm. You’re looking to replace the coil wire on a XL76 correct? The big square saws in the C series etc use the smaller 5mm. 👍

Same here - I bought a spool of 10 ft.of 7mm.wire on eBay a couple yrs.ago.The 5mm.wire was a different story.I ended up buying that from Sawzilla.com.It's a common size for Stiohl saws.

Thanks everybody for the responses. Just ordered the 7mm off the Amazon link. Started work on a XL75 And a XL76. Nice looking saws after removing all the oil, sawdust and dirt off these things. Greg.
