I just acquired a C-7 Homelite saw and was wondering how I find out what year it is and various other things. The serial number is 1370151. Thanks in advance.
A friend gave me one complete and one missing the bar. They both been sitting over 20yrs. The one that is complete I put fresh gas and gave it a shot of carb cleaner fired right up and ran perfect.

Don't you just love these old Homelites The C series was built in the 1960's but I don't know of any information that will put a date on saws with seven digit serials. It's good that it runs but one thing you may experience is it dying at high RPM due to plugged fuel filter or mushy fuel line. Hopefully you won't see this but it isn't that hard to fix.

Its running fine. Starts easy. Idles great. I've already cut a few trees. I would like to find more info about it and later find decals for it to restore it. I found a little bit of info at Chain Saw Collectors Corner and found out they were made in 63-64. I would like to find exact year though. Thanks for the info so far.
