Is it possible to replace the spark plug wire in a C-5 coil? Unfortunately someone cut the plug wire. I tried splicing it back together but I’d rather replace the wire if I can. It seems like it’s glued into the coil. Idk I might just have to get a new coil.

Make sure it is clean, install new wire and seal it with something like MotoSeal .Take your time.

You may be better off pulling the entire coil assembly off in order to have an easy access to the wire. The wire is quite skinny & I found some 5mm.plug wire on eBay some yrs.ago that worked great.I've found since then that Stihl coil/plug wire is the right size & can be bought by the foot on Sawzilla.com,or you may be able to buy a ft.at your local Stihl dealer.I tried using the original OEM wire & found that it was just too stiff to work with.Better pliability with the Stihl wire & better insulation IMO.

Ok thank your for the info. Luckily I have a Stihl dealer down the road so I’ll see if they have any wire In stock plus I need a couple other things from them anyways. I’m going to try and work on it today and see what I can do with it.
