I picked this up the other day but the only decals left are 'XP' on the top and 'gear driven' on the muffler side. Have been trawling the web and found little to help me ID this saw. From what I have found I think it could be an XP1100G?

Is there an aluminum ID plate on the saw somewhere around the handle area ? If so, what are the numbers ?

wont be a plate on this one. its gone as you can see where it once was behind the recoil assy. I'll guess 1130G

The muffler guard idicates it is a 1130G as the 1100G is different. That means little though as parts can easily changed.

Ok so now my next Q is what year range is this model? Unfortunately this one is not a goer and it seems to be siezed. Havent pulled her to bits yet but there are also a few resin patched sections of metal work. Anyway it is the start to a nice display for the shed - goes well with the Stihl 07 that rumbles (and vibrates) beautifully.

Ok so now my next Q is what year range is this model?........................ The 1130 was made in many versions from the late 1960's through about 1984. I belive yours is a mix or parts with the main body being from a early one. Bill
