I need to reboot a 360 and I have just read "Redsqrl's" thread in Tips and Tricks on "How Not to Boot a 750", so I am concerned about the boot being installed upside down. The 360 boot(loose part) is similar in appearance to the pics of the 750 boot. I have rebooted several 330's but the 360 is new to me. 1) Can the 360 boot be installed upside down and still run(w/problems) like the 750 2) Does the 360 boot have a spring that needs to be used from the old boot

Thought I would answer my own question. The 360 boot is easier to replace than a 330. Remove the bottom handle. remove the 4 anti-vibe screws holding the saw to the frame, slide the combo gas/oil tank & carb box forward and you have access to the boot. Impossible to install the boot upside down. Yes there is a spring that holds the boot to the intake. Whole thing took less than an hour. Saw still ran like coon dung so pulled the carb apart (Walbro), cleaned and re-installed the kit that was in it. Starts & runs well now. Nice saw with lots of torque and runs up well.
Now it's time to go to work on the nasty bar and chain....
