Haven't posted in quite awhile. Just extremely busy with work and other projects, not enough play time with chainsaws. I happen to pick this beauty up on Market Place today. Was surprised to find it in my neck of the woods. Good compression but no spark and missing cover for the air filter. It's also missing the model plate which I'm thinking it is a 995G but I'm basing it on the side plate stickers. Didn't measure the bar but I think it's 36". I have a 990G which is just a parts saw and maybe I can rob some parts off it, will see. 20231008_132145

Nice get! I wanted it but he wouldn’t ship, glad it found a home with someone who appreciates it. The 995 was the only one in that series to use that recoil starter configuration.

LOL! He did mention someone from out of state bugging him to ship it. Young kid and he's been around selling saws for awhile. I've been following him for a bit. From what it sounds he inherited his uncle's estate years ago who ran a chainsaw shop. What you see in his pictures is half of what he has. He doesn't have good ratings through Market Place and from a few people around the area. All the saws are exposed to the weather, not covered so that doesn't help. We'll see how the 995G turns out. I did find a cover for it but has no spark. I don't have the time right now to find out what's causing that. Hopefully, it's something simple.

Was able to play with the 995G for the past few days. Between a bad coil and questionable carb which I just swapped out to a HL-119A. Got her running but she's running a little high so carb needs more adjusting.
