I bought a C-52 for $30 bucks. It is has a fuel leak I assume is coming from the tank. Is there any place that I can get the tank gasket or do you guys prefer some rtv compound?

Hey there,some of the C series saws used gaskets & others didn't.Does the IPL call for a gasket? I've had very good luck with both MotoSeal by Permatex & Yamabond,the latter being a more permanent bond.You'll have to be careful taking the screws out that hold the front cover on as some of them could strip.A little heat on them from a heat gun or a blow dryer will help.If it calls for a gasket you can make your own.

I will probably try the Yamabond. May still have some around here from working on my old Kodiak
