Putting new rings onto piston of a Super Ez Auto. Trying to thumb the bottom ring on from the top into the first ring land didn’t work for me. But installing from the bottom of the piston did. Wiggle it up and into place with the pin stops. Maybe this will help out a fellow newbie. This may be SOP with 2 ring pistons, IDK.

If it worked, it worked. Can't argue with success. I always put them both on from the top on any model and don't recall every breaking one. However, most of my overhaul jobs were a long time ago so I may be remembering things through rose colored glasses by now. Back then if you ever did break a ring, no big deal. Just go get another one from parts.
