I have a 360 that needs new A/V mounts. I have found four different parts lists, most list two different mounts.
Part number 12285, sold as a set under part number A-70623. I think these were the only ones listed in rev. 1 parts list. Also listed as soft in rev. 2 and 3 parts list. Also says these are for a 360 AO. I don't know what an AO is or what version of 360 my saw is.
Part number 70228, sold as a set under part number A-70622. Listed as hard in rev. 2 and 3 parts list. Also says these are for a 360 HG or SL. Again, I don't know what an HG or SL is or what version of 360 my saw is.
How do you know which ones you should use or came in the saw originally? Any recommendations from anyone?
My UT number is 105794. Serial number is 4C1590321.
Thanks!

AO= auto oiler HG=hand guard SL= safety lock, a chain brake
The soft ones will reduce vibration more, the hard ones will probably last longer

As far as I know, all new saws came out with the soft mounts (70623) and the harder version (70622) were an option that you could get through parts. In all my years in the shop we only installed the hard ones as replacements. Either version will be adequate as long as you maintain a sharp chain and watch how you leverage the saw against the bucking spike if so equipped.
A bucking spike and dull chain are murder on the front mounts regardless of which ones you use.
