Hello. Look for info about this sweet classic. Found in a sale for 5 bucks. It runs but I'm looking to freshing it up and us for fire wood cutting..I don't know how to post a few pics of this home light..

Congratulations on your score. What model is it? Should say on one of the side covers. If the paint is scratched up the model # should be on the serial number plate located by the on/off switch or on a sticker above the muffler. Later saws may have numbers on the bottom.
The vintage may be determined by the serial number. This info is on a thread on this forum.
The first thing I would do to an old saw is pull the muffler and clean out the carbon in the exhaust port. Little chunks of carbon can score the piston and cylinder and ruin a saw. Sounds like this ship has sailed.
Next I would take the saw partly apart and clean out the accumulated sawdust and oil, especially from the cooling fins on the head. You don't want it to overheat.
Then replace the consumable parts as needed. I just got a kit including a spark plug, air filter, fuel line,and filter for $20. A carb kit is about $20 too.

Hi guys I'm new here just picked up a homelite super xl12 auto oiler blue and white in colour it's marked Terry's Canada has 59435-1at and serial no ao 3238198w. Will be looking into it at weekend when I have some time overall condition is good cosmetically will know more about it mechanically after that. I would love some information on saw if anyone wants to add anything about it anything would be a help.
