Looking for a rebuild kit for a Tillotson MD-23-B carburetor or any leads to where I might find one. THANKS!!!! Dave Dave I don't have a rebuild kit, but I do not quite a few parts for the MD 23 carb. Can send you a parts list with the individual parts that I have for the saw. It is the carb. Homelite used on 20MCS. Will send you a list of the parts I have or if you can send me a list of the parts you need. chain saw lady Joyce

Thanks everyone....Yes that is the carburetor and I'll take it apart tomorrow to check everything. It works but leaks so think I just need gaskets. Could also be the float valve sticking. I'll let you know tomorrow. Thanks again....Dave

The Carburetor is apart and everything cleaned....The float bowl was nasty inside. Looks like all the gaskets and seals need replaced, all dried out and brittle. If anyone has the following Carburetor body gasket # 71492, Float bowl plug # 71506, Gasket inlet needle seat # 71513, Gasket Main ajustment # 28055 .....that's what I need. Thanks for any help!!! Question about your swivel assembly. There is a gasket, item 27 on page 7 of the IPL on my saw, this fits snugly on the manifold (28) but there is a big gap all the way around were the flange, carburetor swivel (26) fits around it. This gasket has a groove all the way around it so I'm thinking of taking it and the carburetor to the hardware store and see if I can find an O-ring to fit around it. In what condition is your gasket If I don't get this sealed up, I think the saw will suck a lot of air past this gasket. Maybe that's why I couldn't get it started It would certainly mean a lean mixture! CSL: Joyce, do you have any of these gaskets left in inventory?

That one was fine....looks like might of been replaced recently. I was wondering about that split in that gasket or seal myself. Thinking maybe because it has that other line going to it. Might use crankcase pressure to that split to make sure of good seal. I'll have to check where that other line comes into the coupler. I spent most of the day with silver solder patching pin holes in the gas tank. All patched and holding gas as a matter of fact I just came in from running it for awhile to adjust carburetor and check for leaks. It's missing the muffler and the carburetor guard. Please keep you're eyes open for those two pieces for me. Thanks Dave

Been a while since I visited here. Can anyone tell me if the still make kits for Tillotson H Carburetors? I know that kits for HP Carburetors are Obsolete. I was on Mike Acre's site, and I was looking at the H, and HP models, and by the looks of them, they pretty much have the same sized Diaphragm, and Diaphragm Gaskets. Thanks. Bruce.

Looks like the difference between the H and HP is the integral fuel pump. Since the metering diaphragm is just a round thing, could you alter an HL diaphragm to work? BTW what are you working on
