Well folks,
I have been away a long time and I wondered if the site was still active. Lets get this place going. Here is a 8800 that has sat a good spell collecting dust. I fired it up last spring and it seems to run OK but she has sat. There is a video on the boobie tube somewhere.
Well chit it says I cannot load a pic

In 15 years of collecting, I still haven't run across a 8800. Someday...

A little useless information for those that don't know the history.
Came out in the 80's as a 540, 5.4 cubic inches. Not very many years into production, they were revised and renamed the 545.
Few years later they were further revised and again renamed 8800, 88 cc's.
If you've never ran one, they are a real HORSE for their size and weight.
The Homelite tech school instructor told me that he had one "specially tuned" that he took to competitions and embarrassed everyone else with. He absolutely would not share details of the modifications with me. He did sell me the stock demo model out of the trunk of his car for $500 though. Looked like brand new, I'm sure it had hardly been ran.
