My 240 is not the best looking saw I have, but does run very well.I bought a Super 2 about a week are so ago and i'am just about done with it, so I may put the 240 up for sale.I like the Super 2 better.Won't use either saw very much, not a lot to cut around here. The guy I bought the Super 2 from has a 240, he's asking 120 dollars for it seems to be too much hasn't sold yet. What do they sell for in your area of the country? I have about 50 dollars in mine total with a parts saw.Not trying to sell the saw on this site , I don't ship just curious thanks Mike

The 1st 240 I got was for $4.50 in a truckload of saws 4 yrs.ago.I bought 2 more since then, one for $40 & the other for $15 as a parts saw. They vary in price depending on their condition. The 240 isn't a real collector's saw,so the price is usually down on them. The guy who is asking $120 for his 240 is too much IMO.

I never see them for sale locally (SW Oregon). My point of reference is Ebay and they seem to top out around $75 for a decent looking one.

Too much. I'm 300 miles west of you and there's not much market for a 240 around here. A guy could pick one up at an auction around here for $20 about any day and I'd be shocked if one ever brought more than $40.

Thanks guys, I believe I can get my money out of it anyway, if I sell it maybe 60 on market place kinda of a goofy saw I think

They were a big mass marketer saw (think Walmart, etc) back in the 80's, meant mostly for homeowners. I don't recall the price exactly but I'm thinking they were right around $200 new. There are several of them around here. That's probably part of why the resale on them is fairly soft.

Sold the 240 yesterday, with a case and parts saw got the 70 dollars I was asking. Guy had bought a saw from me awhile back.Lucky if I got my money out of it, but I enjoy getting those old saws running again.Waiting for a sprocket from Leon for the Super2 and it should be ready to go.Gentlemen enjoy your day, warm in St.Louis today.
