1986 Very easy to work on. Only 2 parts that are hard or impossible to find. Oil pump plunger & oil connector for duck bill. Check in the oil tank for the oil connector, sometimes it will fall in the bottom of the oil tank. There is a replacement you can use, if not there. I still have 12 or so original ones. Most other parts you can find.

On the homepage, go to Homelite serial numbers & dates. Open the first post there. There are 4 charts / TSB that will explain it. Will not work on 7 digit serial numbers.

Such fun little saws to run. Mine never let me down which is good because I do not care for working on them

Hi bdm53ent they aren't to bad to work on, pulled apart yesterday after watching Leon's video ( always a great help) I think a lot easier than those damn 330's, one of mine is all apart and giving me fits , so its under the work bench until I feel like working on it again. So I picked up this Super 2 to play with , I like it, wish it was all metal but the plastic on this one is in very good condition

Pulled the carburetor Walbro HDC, pressure tested, it held at 6lbs going to go with it . If it doesn't run I'll rebuild it than. do need an air filter 1st. Looks to be the only part I need

Looks to be the only part I need I had the same situation on an XL I bought last summer.Someone had put oil in the fuel tank & then tried starting it.The saw had sucked bar oil into the carb causing it impossible to start.I took the carb apart & cleaned the oil out of it,put it back in the saw & it ran like a champ. It took a bit for the residual bar oil to work out of the carb & cylinder. It only smoked like hell for a min.or 2.I think the bar oil acted as a preservative to keep the diaphragms from drying out.

Question on the clutch and sprocket. Can I add another washer on the clutch side .Seems the nut is bottoming out on the shaft.the sprocket has a little play back and fourth, there is a washer on the outside by the nut also but I thought adding it to the one on the clutch would be better don't know .

They were intended to have that side to side slop; the clutch drum bearing doesn't have a race to tighten against, so a second washer would likely cause a bind.

IPL:17868, for a Super-2 UT:10654, shows an inner and outer 95299 thrust washer.
I put an Oregon sprocket/drum on my Super-2 ( 1980 Terry model ), that originally had two thrust washers, and had to eliminate the inner washer due to clearance issues.

Had to work all week, Leon's air filter arrived Wednesday (thank you Leon) may get a chance to finish putting it back together today finger's crossed.I don't like the looks of the sprocket too much wear and tear on it ,if saw runs good I think I'll pop for the extra cost and replace it.IPL for that saw is 17868 and it shows part # A 95653 A . Leon has a couple but not with that part #. Have to check into that after I get it running.

All the of the A-95653 variations fit the same; Homelite monkeyed with the kit changing up what was included in the way of the washers and retainers.
